Job Description :

• The Candidate will be responsible to look after the activities related to Manufacturing Engineering in one of the two production areas given and will report to Head of Manufacturing Engineering.
• The Candidate will be responsible to study the drawings in detail and plan out for all necessary dummy items required to facilitate the correct method of manufacturing.
• The Candidate will give the material requirement of these dummy items to PMC.
• The Candidate will facilitate the fabrication/machining of these fixtures, both in-house and outside, so that the items are made inline with the desired results.
• The Candidate will review the progress of all these items and ensure that they are made ready before needed on the job.
• The Candidate will also help manufacturing by designing the regular manufacturing tools, like stands, lifts, platforms etc.
• The Candidate will work with vendors/other departments to plan and implement areas for automation in manufacturing.
• The Candidate will carry out work, time and motion study, as assigned by his department head
• The Candidate will design with or without the help of design dept., all jigs and fixtures needed to control welding distortions.
• The Candidate will be co-ordinating with PMC and others to see that these jigs and fixtures are made ready in time.
• The Candidate will assist his department head in carrying out the activities listed in ‘A’

Activities are:

• Review of Engineering drawings (post order) /data sheets (pre order) and look at the manufacturability of the equipments w.r.t. available resources.
• He will be attending Design review meetings, to look at the manufacturability of drawings and suggest all new non-standard jigs and fixtures needed.

Essential Qualification:

• B.E / B.Tech/ Diploma in Mechanical / Production.

Essential Experience:

• Minimum 5 Years in Production Engineering in Fabrication Industries dealing with Manufacturing of Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Columns, Reactors etc.

Preferred Experience:

• Relevant experience in Fabrication / Welding required as per International Codes like ASME, A D Merkblatter, TEMA etc

Special Skills Required:

• Knowledge of sequence of Manufacturing and processes, International codes and Procedures, Baan, ISO systems and procedures.
• Procurement Procedures, Time and Motion study exercise
• Knowledge of Planning tools like Primavera, MS Projects, and Planning and Project Management.
• Leadership skills
• Interpersonal skills
