Hi,

Here the placement for MANAGER – Tool Design.

Our client, a manufactures of electromechanical components, like Connectors for Telecom Cable Splicing and Automotive Wire Harnessing, Terminal Blocks and Switches for electronic industries have the following requirement.

1) MANAGER – Tool Design

Candidate should have atleast 10-12 years experience in handling Tool Design department.
Should be preferably BE or a DME passed out through NTTF with Tooling knowledge both Plastics & Metal Sheet..
Should have thorough knowledge on tool development.Effective implementation of ISO / TS 16949 : 2002 requirements.
To carry out feasibility studies along with marketing department during contract review.
To collect and document the technical data required for product, component and tool development.
Should have thorough knowledge in carrying out review of customer specification/standards.
To carry out detail study of customer requirements along with Marketing / Product development and prepare an overall plan.
To ensure adequacy of design and development input.
To organize design failure mode and effect analysis, process failure mode and effect analysis and quality function deployment, as appropriate.
Should have worked in Plastic Industry, prefrebly in connector industries and high speed stamping tools.

Apart from above specific requirements the following are also required for fulfilling the position requirements.

Identification of special characteristics for product as well as manufacturing process.
Plan and organize development activities for product, component and tool development.
To organize design and development reviews as planned during the various stages of design and development.
To analyze the data and identify opportunities for improvement of the development activities. To ensure corrective and preventive actions are being carried out during the development process.
To organize design verification and design validation.
Candidate should be fluent in English, professional in handling and execution of projects.· Capable of handling a team of 8-10 Engineers.
The CTC would be in the range between Rs.6 to 8 Lacs.
